WATERBERG BIOSPHERE
Tintswalo Family Camp is located in the Welgevonden Game Reserve, Limpopo Province, South Africa. The Welgevonden Game Reserve comprises some 40,000 hectares of pristine bushveld and ranks amongst Southern Africa’s largest private game reserves and forms part of the only savanna biosphere reserve in the world, proclaimed by UNESCO Waterberg Biosphere Reserve in March 2001. It has the greatest variety of plains game, is home to South Africa’s ‘’ Big Five ’’ and is malaria free.
The Welgevonden Game Reserve is pioneering in its conservation initiatives and thus it is important that its conservation ethos also forms an integral part of a multi-generational family experience.

Tintswalo Family Camp Welgevonden Nature Reserve
Tintswalo Family Camp is strategically positioned to offer a unique safari experience, with the option of a Kosher kitchen, all within 3 hours’ drive from Johannesburg. Welcoming children of all ages, the camp is protected by electric fencing against predators and other dangerous game to allow young guests the freedom to enjoy the outside areas. It offers a choice of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom suites and is also available on an exclusive-use basis, which is suited to bigger family groups or executive breakaways where one party takes over the full camp.
Rates are inclusive of luxury accommodation, all meals, house drinks and 2 safaris daily. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on game drives however bush bumbles and children's activities are on offer. The rate excludes a once off conservation levy as well as daily park entry fees.
