Situated in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Kings Camp faces an open savanna plain with a waterhole, which is frequented by a wide variety of wildlife both day and night. As part of the greater Kruger National Park, which covers an area of 2.2 million hectares, this Timbavati safari lodge is a wildlife haven boasting a diversity of animal life including the Big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo). With 100 km² of bush to traverse, you have plenty of space to explore the endless variety of Africa’s wildlife in an open Land Rover or on foot.

Kings Camp

The Main Camp consists of six Luxury Suites, one Luxury Family Suite and two Honeymoon Suites which all offer modern amenities and magnificent views of the African Bush. The Luxury and Honeymoon Suites each have private plunge pools and comfortable outdoor lounge areas.

At the Main Camp, a thatched viewing lounge overlooks an active waterhole and the informal open plan lounge and bar and coffee lounge are all ideal places where you can simply relax and soak up the tranquillity of the African bush at this Timbavati safari lodge. Our underground hide – The Kings Warren – is perfectly positioned on the edge of the waterhole offering an eye-level, up-close wildlife viewing experience. The Kings Warren offers comfortable seating for up to 10 people, air conditioning, power points for charging devices, a refreshment station, vast windows with one-way photographic glass and two cameras streamed to flat-screen TVs to warn photographers of wildlife approaching.

Our dining options include fine dining in our elegant dining room, laid-back lunches on the patio overlooking an active waterhole, vastly-popular traditional boma dinners, breakfasts in the bush and private dinners on the verandah of your suite.
