Nestled in the heart of the Nambiti Private Game Reserve just outside Ladysmith, Lions Valley Lodge is one of KwaZulu-Natal’s best-kept secrets. With over 22 000 acres of beautiful South African bush to explore, our guests are sure to experience the adventure of a lifetime.
On arrival, you will be met at the Memorial gate parking area, and transfer you to the lodge. Enjoy a welcome cocktail while checking in. Now is the time to switch off the phone and WiFi and enjoy what nature has to offer. Before your afternoon game drive, you will enjoy ‘high tea’, which is a selection of some of the best food you can imagine. During your 3-hour afternoon game drive, you will stop for sundowners. After you return to the lodge you have time to freshen up before dinner. And again, the quality of the food is top class!
This luxury safari reserve is nestled in the Ladysmith area of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa; Also within easy reach of the central Drakensberg, as well as many of the historic battlefields. This malaria-free, virgin bushveld area, with its mixed vegetation of savanna grasslands, indigenous trees, as well as shrubs, is home to the Big Five. Also offering the ideal habitat for a large variety of antelope, smaller game species and an abundant birdlife. You will be in exclusive, freestanding luxury thatched suites, offering you maximum privacy. This region is steeped in history and is particularly well known for the Battle of Elandslaagte, which was fought on the Reserve, during the Anglo Boer War. Enjoy informative early morning and late afternoon game viewing safaris, accompanied by an experienced game ranger.
