Cuisine Meals are served in a single sitting in the charming Victorian atmosphere of the dining cars, complemented by a selection of fine South African wines. An enthusiastic team of chefs is responsible for overseeing the very important task of ensuring guests’ every need is catered for. The focus is on fresh local ingredients and also traditional specialty dishes such as game. Day time dress code on the train is smart casual. Evening attire is more formal. A jacket and tie is a minimum requirement for gentlemen. We suggest ladies wear cocktail/evening dresses or suits. Remember to include warm clothing for cold mornings and evenings. To maintain the spirit of travel of a bygone era, there are no radios or television sets on board. We suggest Mobile phones, laptops and anything that has the ability to disturb other passengers is confined to use within the privacy of your suite.

DAY 1: JOHANNESBURG/VICTORIA FALLS
Depart OR Tambo on your flight to Victoria Falls Airport where you will be met by our representative and transferred to Victoria Falls Hotel for the night.
DAY 2: VICTORIA FALLS
Day at leisure.
DAY 3: VICTORIA FALLS
After breakfast spend the remainder of the day experiencing all that Victoria Falls has to offer before transferring to Victoria Falls Train Station for
check-in on Rovos Rail
17h00 Depart from Victoria Falls Station, Zimbabwe. Guests may freshen up in their suites before joining fellow travellers in the lounge car or observation
car at the rear of the train.
19h30 Dinner is served in the dining cars en-route to Malindi. Dress: Formal
DAY 4: HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
05h00 A continental breakfast is served in the dining cars until departure.
06h00 Enjoy a game drive at The Hide in Hwange National Park.
12h00 Lunch is served in the dining cars. The train travels between Dete and Gwaai along one of the world’s longest stretches of straight railway line
– 114 kilometres – and passes Bulawayo: second city of Zimbabwe, capital of Matabeleland and industrial capital of the country.
16h30 Tea is served in the lounge and observation cars.
19h30 Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to the border at Beitbridge. Dress: Formal
