Explore this hidden gem of an island at your own pace.
Many of the top attractions are located inland in the mountains. Don’t stay in one place when visiting Réunion – there’s just so much to see! The island is relatively small (63 km long and 45 km wide) and has excellent roads and highways. The roads are very well sign-posted, in French – you can request a GPS. Take note that inland, into the mountains, there may be many hair-pin bends, steep hills, sheer cliffs and spectacular views.
Finally driving in Reunion is on the right hand side of the road. An International Driver’s Licence is required when renting a vehicle.
