Important for South Africans Travelling Abroad
Vast numbers of people who travel abroad every day do not encounter any difficulties. However, through their missions abroad, ROSA have assisted a growing number of South Africans who have become victims of crime, accident/s, illness, death, natural/man-made disasters, civil unrest, or whose family and/or next-of-kin needed to contact them in an emergency.
At iGO Travel, your safety is our number one concern. In light of that, we highly recommend that you register with the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO). While Travel Insurance is a must when travelling abroad; so is this in our books.
The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) offers a voluntary registration service for South African citizens that are travelling or living abroad. This service is on offer in the event there is a need to contact you to offer urgent advice on a natural disaster or civil unrest or a family emergency.
The information submitted via the ROSA online registration form may be used by the Department to:
- contact South African citizens and their families for any other reasonable purpose, as may be appropriate,
- ensure the protection and well-being of South African citizens abroad and in order to provide them with assistance.
Register with ROSA online. The Department of International Relations and Cooperation uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and firewall technology to protect your data.
