Old Phuket Resort
Includes taxes and breakfast daily. The perfect getaway for couples or families. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of Patong, this resort in Karon, is perfect.
The Old Phuket at Karon Beach is a Sino-Portugese-style creation that evokes memories of 19th century Southeast Asia.
Not only is this a beautifully elegant hotel, but the atmosphere will take travellers back to the days of the spice trade; of tin mining; of Chinese junks plying the straits of Malacca and the golden age of travel before resorts and package tours. Built as a replica of the architecture that still remains in the old sections of Phuket Town.
The Old Phuket Resort Thailand provides guests with a historical alternative to the typical hotel holiday, with it’s quanit style, while also being in central Karon, the hotel is a short walk from tranquil Karon Beach- one of Phuket’s longest and most beautiful beaches. The shopping and entertainment area of Aroona Karon are also within walking distance, with bustling Patong Beach only 8 km away!
Karon, featuring an incredibly long stretch of squeaky white sand, is less hectic than Patong but it still offers a full range of facilities, dining and activities. While it’s a fast-growing area, Karon is nicely spread out and rarely feels crowded.
At 3km, Karon is one of Phuket’s longest beaches. Although there are a few large resorts and hotels, they are spread out and the area feels very calm. As in Patong, the hotels are separate from the beach by a road. However, unlike Patong, the beach is always fairly quiet. The beach itself is quite bare, with little or no natural shade. The sand is so fine and powdery that it squeaks when you walk on it.
