Some of the popular diving sites in the Maldives can be explored from the resorts or through diving safari trips. The resorts run diving schools offering PADI courses and hiring facilities for diving and snorkelling equipment and underwater cameras.
The Maldives has a great variety of dive sites and offers dives of varying depths to suit different skill levels; there is a wide variety available for beginners as well as experts alike. The diving is wonderful year-round in the Maldives, but many visitors prefer to avoid the worst of the rainy season; between June and August.

Meeru is surrounded by a big, beautiful lagoon. There is no near by house reef, so all dives are boat dives. The lagoon is home to a great variety of marine life with interesting coral formations and colourful fish life in shallow water. It is perfect for snorkelers and for diver training. The average water temperature is 28 degrees Celsius. and the visibility from January to May is about 20m to 50m and from June to December is 15m to 25m.
Every Tuesday at 0915 at the Kakuni Bar, the Euro-Divers Team presents a popular video each week showing the beautiful underwater world that you see around Meeru and in the Maldives, its diving and snorkeling activities.
Guests who complete their dive course are presented with their Diploma.
