My family and I would like to extend a personal thanks to you and your team for the wonderful holiday you arranged for us in Mauritius.
This was our first trip to the wonderful island, and as newbies, we did not know where to start. Thankfully a referral to iGo travel was a welcome relief, especially since I had done much internet research beforehand, without much success.
I had been in discussions with other travel agencies, and my biggest frustration was the lack of attention to what I was asking for.
From the start I was impressed with the rapid response time, the assurance of choice and the pricing compared to what was on offer.
The whole booking process was seamless.
We chose the All Inclusive option for a 10 day stay at the LUX Tamassa resort on the southwest corner of the island. Our ticket stipulated that the hotel transfer was by luxury bus, and we were advised that this could mean dropping other holiday makers off along the route at other hotels. We were met by an iGo agent in arrivals, and ushered outside where a private luxury car and driver awaited us. As a start this was a nice touch. The reception at Tamassa was impressive as well, complete with personal attendance and small touches like welcome drinks and refresher towels.
As an iGo guest, we were immediately upgraded to a beachfront villa, another nice touch.
We had an absolute blast at Tamassa. The resort is top class. The facilities and layout is easy and pleasurable. There are so many areas to relax, that you never had to look for loungers or wait for water sports etc. The three pools and the reef gave ample options for swimming, and the constant attendance by the bar staff made indulgence easy.
There are only 2 restaurants on the resort, and the popular Beach restaurant was by prior booking only. This meant you simply booked a day in advance for dinner. The meals served were varied and the selection meant no 2 days were the same. Also impressive was that each day was themed, so you knew what to expect and look forward to. The splash restaurant was mainly buffet and catered for everyone’s culinary needs.
The reef area in front of the resort is a pleasant place to relax. The snorkelling is good and even novices at swimming will be able to enjoy. Reef shoes are needed and the water is mostly clear and calm.
The main entertainment area has recently been upgraded, so lazing by the main pool all day was such a pleasure.
Each evening there was a live band or some other form of entertainment to please the crowd.
I would recommend the LUX Tamassa to anyone, and would definitely visit the resort again.
The Daniels family.
