Q&A with Brendan Pottier, Travel Manager

Name and Position in the company: Brendan Pottier – Travel Manager

Age: 45

How many countries have you been to? Shew, almost too many to count – around 20.

Where did you travel to? Argentina, USA, Ireland, UK, France, Spain, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Poland, Russia, Italy, Mozambique, Mauritius, Seychelles, Thailand, Malaysia

When did you travel: Last in March 2018

Who did you travel with? On my own

Describe a typical day: I love the beach, shopping and sightseeing as well as enjoying the food and I must admit I generally do work too when I am travelling.

Highlight of your last trip (Zanzibar)? Kisiwa House in Stone Town

What to do there (or name favourite thing about the trip): Admiring beautiful beaches, visiting neighbouring hotels gaining experience. Sampling different food and cultures

What not to do there (or name least favourite thing about the trip): The airport in Zanzibar can be a real shock. You need to be warned. It is like a shack. No ATM or restaurants, but don’t let it put you off. The resorts are amazing!

What is the top 5 things you need to pack for this trip? Sun block, baggies, cellphone/camera and a laid back attitude

Any tips or recommendations? Don’t move around too much. A week at a beach resort, 2 nights in Stone Town

What would you recommend to someone travelling for the first time? Be calm and prepared. Print out all your documents before you go and allow plenty of time before flights.

Where would you like to go next? I would like to go back to Malaysia and also add in Hong Kong
